Les Perrières area: an excellent location in Les Gets resort
For those of you who have been to Les Gets in recent years, you will have noticed many new buildings at the entrance to Les Gets from the motorway and Taninges. The hamlet of Les Perrières is expanding with some changes and good news for this “mini Les Gets” in the resort.
Why choose to stay at Les Perrières ?
- A quiet hamlet close to the heart of the village
- Easy access to all area with the free buses
- All amenities near by : Supermarket, restaurants and shops
- Properties prices are a bit cheaper than if you book something in the heart of the village
- Ski slopes and chairlifts is easily accessible whether by bus or you can also walk to the slopes
A quiet hamlet a few steps from the centre:
Less than a quarter of an hour's walk from the heart of the resort (about 1.2 km), the hamlet of Les Perrières is ideal for families or groups of friends who want a quieter environment than the heart of the resort while remaining close to all the main village activities.
For those who wish to drive to the Pistes des Perrières, there is a free car park with 350 spaces at the foot of the ski lift of the same name.
The shuttle buses leaving from the area run every day free of charge between 8am and 7pm during the school holidays and 6pm outside these periods every 5 minutes during the school holidays and allow you to reach the centre in less than 10 minutes.
To reach the village without using the car outside these times, there are several possibilities:
The resort's night shuttle runs between 8pm and midnight, and must be booked in advance. More information on our page dedicated to the transport provided by the resort: HERE. Price to be confirmed, but last year it was 3 euros/person for a trip.
Many taxi companies are also available.
Please note: a project for a new bus stop at the new housing development at the entrance to Les Gets is currently under discussion.
The Perrières skiing area :
You can easily access the main Domaine des Chavannes by taking the 6-seater chairlift of Les Perrières. Once at the top, you can then take the Rosta chairlift and the Renardière blue run. Then take the blue or red runs down to the Ranfolly chairlift with the possibility of descending from the Ranfolly to the bottom of the Chavannes gondola, the Front de Neige and the heart of Les Gets resort.
For a few years now, the ESF has also been offering group lessons at Les Perrières during the February holidays, which is more convenient for parking and avoiding the crowds at the Front de Neige.
NEW: FOUR-SEASON SLEDGING!
An alpine roller coaster is under construction at Les Perrières and will be open all year round! Composed of 35 sledges, a descent of 714 metres and 105 metres of difference in height for about 6 minutes of descent!
Shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity:
To equip yourself, two shops are located close to the lifts: Perrière ski shop and our partner Pure Experience: A shop offering an eco-responsible alternative to winter sports. With a surface area of about 100 m2, the shop is organised around a rental area for ski equipment in winter and mountain bike equipment in summer, a sales area for fashion and accessories, an experience counter and a workshop. Cyril and his team will be happy to advise you, and as a Chalets 1066 customer you benefit from preferential rates.
For your shopping: The Spar supermarket is open every day during the winter season to welcome you and also delivers bread and pastries in the morning. It also offers many local products, as well as raclette trays with loan of equipment. You can also visit the website and schedule your shopping online before your arrival.
La Fruitière des Perrières is an institution in Les Gets: a local cheese factory which offers a tour of the factory every Wednesday at 10am. The owners also have a restaurant, which in my opinion has the best fondue in the resort.
Other restaurants, bars and snacks can be found close to the lifts in Les Perrières, including the Chinfrey, where you can meet the locals, A la Bonne Franquette, the restaurant in the hotel of the same name, and the snack bar in the Perrières Ski Shop.
We have a number of properties in this growing area: Chalet Moleson with its two apartments: Jaroda and Tehui, Chalet Talini with three bedrooms and a hot tub, Chalet Sans Souci just a few steps from the lifts with 5 bedrooms, Chalet R'Mize for 8 people with its large garden and hot tub. We also manage 3 apartments in the Residence La Delys dating from 2017: La Colombe which will have 6 bedrooms this Winter with hot tub and sauna, Rouge-Gorge a 3 bedroom apartment with hot tub as well as the Les Marmottes Suisses : 2 bedrooms with Nordic hot tub and sauna. Also new for this winter is the Chalet Togadere which can accommodate up to 26 people by booking the two apartments that make it up, the two-bedroom Chalet Petit Togadere and the seven-bedroom Grand Togadere.
