A lovely walk to discover incredible panoramic views from Mont-Chéry, its observation table at the summit and its 360° view over the Chablais mountains. Option 2: The Mont-Chéry ridges

  • Difficulty: **
  • Departure: Mont-Chéry cable car (pedestrian crossing or Multipass)
  • Distance: Around 5.2km
  • Duration: 20 mins ascent by cable car / 1h45 descent on foot and 10 mins by cable car
  • Altitude gain: 80m D+ / 365m D-

The start of the hike is identical to option 1 up to the summit of Mont Chéry. Then go back to the Pointe chairlift and continue straight on the path in front of you, the lif on your left, following the signs for the Col de Lachat and Mont Caly along the Mont Chéry ridge path. Enjoy the sublime views of the Roc d'Enfer, Mont Blanc and the Aravis mountains. It's a beautiful walk, mostly downhill on a wide ridge, before reaching Mont Caly. You can even take a gourmet break at the Chevrelles restaurant. For the return journey, head back towards the Belevédère du Mont Chéry via the southern balconies to reach the Mont Chéry gondola and the village of Les Gets by ski lift. Lovely half-day hike, accessible to all, mostly in descent, preferable for children used to walk.

Option 3: The Mont-Chéry ridges

  • Difficulty : ***
  • Departure point: Mont-Chéry cable car (pedestrian crossing or Multipass)
  • Distance: Approximately 7.52 km

The descent takes you through undergrowth and clearings, always facing Mont Blanc. Finally, return to the village near the Mont Chéry cable car for a well-deserved snack or lunch break.

Tip: take care on the descent as you cross the mountain bike tracks.
